Not only was there a great turnout, but we are proud of our Members that committed to help stop anti-worker legislation like ‘Right to Work’. Secretary-Treasurer Steve Dayan gave a presentation about National “Right to Work” Legislation and how it would negatively impact working families in our Industry if it was to pass.

Big Business is pushing their agenda harder than ever. That means we have to fight back stronger than ever. We have to move forward with our own programs, like improving job safety, fighting for affordable childcare, and stopping abuses by corporate health providers and insurance companies. You can take a stand for working families by contributing to D.R.I.V.E. – the Teamsters’ political action committee. Lastly, we heard from Congressman Adam Schiff of CA-District 28. Congressman Schiff delivered a message of support to all working people and voiced his support in the fight against anti-worker “Right to Work” legislation. We need more elected officials to have our backs. Make sure to reach out to your elected Officials and ask for their support.
