Thank you to all our Members that were in attendance at this past Sunday’s 1st General Membership Meeting of the year! We will be compiling a recap to share with the Membership towards the end of this week.
As we all know, 2020 was one of the most difficult years we as a Local Union have had to endure in our history. Between our Industry shutdown, changes in our working conditions, our everyday way of life upended and seeing the ones we love get sick, and in some cases pass away, this past year was devastating. As we continue to battle the COVID-19 virus throughout the state of California, I remain encouraged by our Union family and ability to weather this storm together. We are embarking on this next year stronger than ever and we will need that strength and our solidarity to get us through the year that lies ahead.
In order to best serve and represent the Membership, we want to hear from YOU. We are launching our 2021 Local 399 General Membership Survey. This is is YOUR Union and we work for YOU. Your feedback is of utmost importance and has inspired many of the changes and improvements to your Local Union over the past several years. We will be launching classification specific surveys in the coming months, specifically pertaining to your contract as we prepare for upcoming negotiations. This survey is intended to gather a general overview of Union Membership and participation in your Union.
