On January 1, 2021 dues will be increasing dues by $3.00 per month, bringing the new quarterly total to $309.00.
WHY ARE DUES INCREASING?
Per Article X of the International Constitution, Members of all Locals are required to pay a minimum of 2-and-a-half times their hourly rate in the form of monthly dues payments.
Per the Local 399 By-Laws, our dues go up every year by the same percentage as our wage increases. As you already may know, many Teamster Locals outside of Hollywood charge 3% of their Members gross wages in dues. That would be far more costly to our Members. We want to be clear that we would never contemplate changing our structure, but we believe it helps put our dues structure into perspective.
Recurring Payment Plan Subscribers:
We will be updating the new dues amount online prior to January 1st. If you are currently subscribed to our recurring payment plan you will be contacted via email to confirm the new amount that will be automatically updated on your card. No action is needed on your part to update the amount.

Paid for Dues in Advance?
If you prepaid your dues for the year and did not account for the dues increase, our Front Office will be contacting you with the balance owed to bring your account current. No fines or fees will be applied at this time. Please simply contact the Union Hall to complete payment.

Keep in mind, we do not bill for your dues. Our Members are expected to pay quarterly dues in the months of January, April, July & October. We have been working to update our internal software systems that have allowed us to send more targeted dues reminders via email to our Members. Please make sure your contact information is up-to-date with the Union Hall in order to ensure you receive these regular dues reminders.
