Over the course of the weekend, the Industry wide Labor-Management Safety Committee Task force worked around the clock to finalize the White Paper Safety Guidelines for returning to work. These guidelines have been submitted to Governor Andrew Cuomo and Governor Gavin Newsom along with the Los Angeles County Department of Health. This six week process was made possible by the collaboration with our Brothers and Sisters of IATSE, SAG-AFTRA and the DGA in conjunction with the AMPTP. This document sets forth detailed guidance employers must follow to provide a safe working environment for our members, other industry workers and the general public.
While the Industry White Paper provides a solid foundation for the appropriate state agencies to examine the resumption of production, the discussions will continue between the Producers, the Unions and Guilds over how it affects our respective agreements. There is still a lot of work ahead of us to not only ensure the safety of our Members on set, but also to ensure the jobs of our Members and our Collective Bargaining Agreements are protected throughout this process.

We will be sending out a registration for another Digital Townhall tomorrow where we plan to provide an update on the ongoing efforts of the Union while also allowing our Members an opportunity to get their questions answered.
Developing these guidelines was no small task and I want to thank all the Unions and Guild involved in this process. The collaboration and solidarity to support our respective Memberships is unlike anything I have seen since my time in the Industry. We are all in this together and it is made even more apparent by the success of our joint efforts. We know our Members are anxious to get back to work as this COVID-19 situation has been challenging. Please stay strong as we continue to make headway in this process. If there is anything more we can do to support you at this time please let us know.
