Broadway Casting Directors are organizing with Teamsters Local 817 and need our support!
Casting Directors are the only workers on Broadway without a Union. That means that they don’t get healthcare or retirement, and don’t have the same workplace protections that all other Broadway workers get. Please show the Broadway League that you support casting directors!
Teamsters Local 817 has launched a Social Media Campaign to raise awareness and they need our help. Please take a picture of yourself holding one of the “I Support Casting Directors” signs and post it on your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages with the #FairnessForCasting hashtag. Or email the photo to dtsalvador@local817.com.
If you don’t have a printer, either post a photo of yourself on social media with a message expressing your support for casting directors, or download and post a picture of the sign.
