After several months of ongoing discussions with our Sister Unions and Guilds and the AICP, we are happy to report that we have finalized our Commercial Safety and Testing Protocol Agreement. The goal of these discussions was to standardize safety, testing and protocols for positive COVID-19 cases in the Commercial world to protect all crew and cast members. These were difficult discussions in which the Unions and Guilds stood firm for the necessity of testing and tracing to prevent outbreaks of COVID-19 throughout Commercial productions. We are again grateful for the solidarity between our Brothers and Sisters of the DGA, IATSE, the Teamsters and the Basic Crafts to ensure safety is a top priority as our Members continue to return to work.

As the COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Los Angeles we want to remind all that we must be diligent about our safety both in and out of the workplace. At this time, Los Angeles County is allowing Film and Commercial production to continue however, how we handle the next several weeks will determine whether our Industry will be able to remain open. Safety is everyone’s responsibility. We know the Holidays this year will look very different but we continue to urge you to stay home outside of work, stay masked and remain socially distanced to all you come in contact with. Our Industry and more importantly the safety of our Members and your families depends on everyone’s continued commitment to safety.
