In partnership with our Joint Council 42, Teamsters Local 911 will be collecting donated items and money for the Puerto Rico relief efforts!
As many of you already know, Hurricane Maria ravaged Puerto Rico and as a result over 3 million inhabitants of the island are in a disastrous predicament and are in desperate need of our help. Puerto Rico is without power, water is in short supply, finding shelter is getting harder to come by, hospitals are already filled to capacity and the reserves of basic supplies are beginning to diminish by the day.
We are now asking our Membership to support the relief work already in motion and consider making a donation of any of the items listed above or making a monetary contribution.
We will be accepting donations at our Union Hall until 12pm on Friday, October 13th. You can also drop donations directly at Teamsters Local 911 in Bellflower.
We were so impressed by our Membership’s generosity in coming together to support the Houston Relief Efforts. We ask that our Local can stand up for our Sisters & Brothers in Puerto Rico. If you have any questions, please email office@ht399.org.
