The season of giving is upon us! Though we know this holiday season looks very different than most, this has been an extremely difficult year for many. Teamsters Local 399 will be participating in the Teamsters National Black Caucus Toy Drive this year to provide toys and gifts to children that have lost family members due to violence in their communities and have been hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Teamsters National Black Caucus is partnering with the organization “Justice for Murdered Children” whose mission is ‘to reduce the number of homicides, reduce the number of unsolved homicides and assist families that have lost loved-ones to homicide.’ For some, the holidays can be a very difficult and painful time of year, especially when struggling with the loss of a loved one.
We invite our Members to bring an unwrapped toy to the Union Hall: 4747 Vineland Avenue, North Hollywood CA 91602 to donate to a child in need of some extra support at this time of year. We have placed a collection bin in the Union Hall Lobby and will be collecting donations until the end of day on December 17th.
When stopping by the Union Hall, please be mindful of the COVID-19 policies and protocols to keep all safe.
